a city (until 1966, the stanitsa of Timashevskaia) and administrative center of Timashevsk Raion, Krasnodar Krai, RSFSR. Situated on the Kirpili River 65 km north of Krasnodar. Railroad junction of lines to Krasnodar, Krymsk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Bataisk. Population, 35,800 (1975). Timashevsk has a sugar refinery, a brickyard, and a mixed-feed plant. Other enterprises include a hemp-processing plant, a hot-house combine, an agricultural and industrial production association, and enterprises for servicing railroads.
