Tønsberg

(töns`bĕr), city (1995 pop. 32,975), capital of Vestfold co., SE Norway, a port on the Skagerrak near the mouth of the Oslofjord. It is a shipping center and has industries that manufacture forest products, processed food, leather, and silverware. Tønsberg was founded c.870 and is the oldest city of Norway.

The Soldiers of Odin held their first patrol in Norway on Feb 13 in Toensberg, a town of some 42,000 about 100 km to the south of Oslo.
According to the Norwegian newspaper VG, 34% of all rush-hour trains between Oslo and Drammen were delayed, as were up to 34% of all departures on the Vestfold line between Toensberg and Oslo.
