Tracheitis

 

an inflammation of the mucous membrane of the trachea. It often accompanies inflammations of the upper respiratory tract caused by infections or toxins. The principal symptom of tracheitis is a cough that intensifies in the morning. Tracheitis is treated by inhaling aerosols; chronic tracheitis is treated by climatotherapy.
