On the northwestern border of KY, northeast of Louisville; established Feb 9, 1837 from Gallatin, Oldham, and Henry counties. Name Origin: For Robert Trimble (1777-1828), KY jurist and associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court (1826-28)
