Truman, David B. (Bicknell)

(1913–  ) political scientist; born in Evanston, Ill. He taught at several colleges including Harvard, Cornell, and Columbia University (1951–59), and served as president of Mount Holyoke College (1969–78). He authored several important books, including Administrative Decentralization (1940), The Governmental Process (1951), and The Congressional Party (1959).
