a river in the Yakut ASSR; a right tributary of the Lena River. The Tuolba is 395 km long and drains an area of 15,800 sq km. It rises in the extreme northwestern Aldan Plateau and divides into branches at its mouth. The Tuolba is fed by mixed sources, mainly rain. The mean flow rate 43 km from the mouth is 62.3 cu m per sec. The river freezes in October, and the ice breaks up in May.
