Turkmenfil’m

 

(full name, A. Karliev Turkmenfil’m), a Soviet film studio producing feature and documentary films. It was founded in Poltoratsk (present-day Ashkhabad) in 1926. Originally a film-making enterprise, it subsequently became the Turkmenfil’m Studio and in 1938 was renamed the Ashkhabad Film Studio. In 1958 it was again named Turkmenfil’m.
