A document, such as a punch card, that is produced by a computer, can be read by humans, and can be reread into the machine.

turnaround document

A paper document prepared for re-entry into the computer system. Paper documents are printed with OCR fonts for scanning. Invoices and inventory stock cards are examples. Years ago, punch cards were commonly used for turnaround documents.
