Tygyn

 

(also Dygyn). Date of birth unknown; died 1632. Toion (prince) of the Kangalass tribe of Yakuts.

Tygyn controlled the valleys on the left bank of the Lena River and tried to subjugate the neighboring Yakut tribes. Tygyn has been poeticized in Yakut folklore, where he is portrayed as the leader of all the Yakuts.
