Udzhary

 

a city (since 1941) and the administrative center of Udzhary Raion, Azerbaijan SSR. Railroad station on the Baku-Tbilisi line, 250 km west of Baku. Population, 11,700 (1975). Udzhary has plants for cotton ginning, food preserving, and the production of concrete.
