Ukrainskii Istoricheskii Zhurnal

 

(Ukrains’kyi Isto-rychnyi Zhurnal; Ukrainian Journal of History), an organ of the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR and of the Institute of Party History of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Ukraine, a branch of the Institute of Marxism-Leninism of the Central Committee of the CPSU. It has been published in Ukrainian since July 1957; it came out six times a year until 1964 and became a monthly in 1965. The journal publishes studies and materials on the history of the Ukrainian SSR, the Communist Party of the Ukraine, and the peoples of the USSR; it also includes articles on world history and the methodology of historical research. Circulation, more than 6,000 (1976).
