Umm Said

 

a city and port in Qatar on the coast of the Persian Gulf. Population, about 2,000. Umm Said is the terminus of a highway that crosses the Qatar Peninsula from west to east. Oil is brought by pipeline from an oil field near Dukhan to a refinery located near Umm Said.
