Univel

A joint venture of Novell and AT&T subsidiary, UNIX System Laboratories (USL), which created UnixWare. Subsequently in 1993, Novell acquired USL and merged it into Novell's Unix Systems Group (USG). See USL.

Joining IBM in the collaborative effort are Hewlett-Packard, Sun Microsystems, Santa Cruz Operation, Unix System Labs (USL) and Univel, a joint venture of Novell and USL, which Novell is in the process of acquiring.
