(UI) A consortium including Sun, AT&T and others formed to promote an open environment based on Unix System V, including the Open Look windowing system.

Unix International

A non-profit industry association founded to provide direction for Unix System V. It was disbanded in 1993 after Novell purchased Unix from AT&T. See Unix history and Unix.
