Uplight, the premier provider of customer experience and engagement solutions for the utility industry.

The historic Seaboard building and Selden Arcade, which flank the modern atrium and New Tower, are both washed in a pale coral using LED/RGB
uplights. The
uplights are coupled, so that they always dim and go on and off together, as well as register the same color.
Both methods rely on the Backlight,
Uplight, and Glare (BUG) rating system as described in IES TM-15-11, Luminaire Classification System for Outdoor Luminaires [IESNA 2011].

A word of caution about the inexpensive "
uplights," the mini floor spotlights aimed upward: they tend to burn very hot.
Similarly, a house with accented architectural elements should be
uplighted. "We want to wash the wall with light depending on how high it is, and graze it or wash it with a softer light at a lower level," Kahle says.
An optical acorn-type lighting system, which includes an element of
uplight, offers numerous advantages: vertical illumination to light faces and the building facades, horizontal illumination to light roadways, and lighting uniformity to create a three-dimensional feel.
The PrismGlo units were specified for the lower ceiling height and their
uplight component.
