(geology)
A greenish sand consisting principally of grains of glauconite and found between the low-water mark and the inner mud line.
(materials)
A highly siliceous sand that contains small amounts of magnesia and alumina, with about 8% of its bulk in powdered coal or charcoal; dampened with water to make foundry molds.
(petrology)
Sandstone composed of greensand with little or no cement.
