Urabá

 

a gulf of the Caribbean Sea along the Colombian coast; the southern part of the Gulf of Darien. The Gulf of Urabá is 87 km long and 25–54 m deep. The Atrato River empties into it. The port of Turbo is located on the gulf.

En Oriente se ubica la zona de embalses que concentra el 35 % de la generacion electrica nacional, su poblacion es de caracteristicas etnicas blanco-mestizas y es la tercera zona mas poblada del departamento despues del Valle de Aburra y Uraba.
