Urguchan

 

a balneological health resort in Chita Oblast, RSFSR, 24 km southeast of the Priiskovaia railroad station and 42 km from Nerchinsk. The summers are warm, and the winters cold; the average July temperature is 18°C, and the average January temperature is –27°C. Annual precipitation totals 325 mm. Therapeutic remedies available at the resort include mineral springs, which contain radon (22 nanocuries per liter [60 mache units]), carbonic acid, calcium, and magnesium hydrocarbonate and are used for drinking and for baths. The health resort specializes in treating diseases of the locomotor and support organs and of the peripheral nervous system. The facilities include a sanatorium and a bathhouse.
