Ushtobe

 

a city and the administrative center of Karatal Raion, Taldy-Kurgan Oblast, Kazakh SSR. Ushtobe has a railroad station on the Semipalatinsk-Alma-Ata line, 49 km northwest of the city of Taldy-Kurgan. Industry includes a machine repair shop, a meat-packing plant, and butter, garment, and yurt factories.

The illegal missionary activists were revealed in the town of Ushtobe in Almaty region during the check conducted by the Karatal district prosecutor's office.
