Usogorsk

 

an urban-type settlement in Udorskii Raion, Komi ASSR. It is located in the western part of the republic, 167 km from the Mikun’ railroad junction. Industry is represented by the Mezen’les Logging Production Association.

Parts of the similar belt sets are well-known in the Polom monuments located in the upper reaches of the Cheptsa River: Polom I, Varni, Chemshay, Vesyakar, and Tolyen burial grounds as well as in the Vychegda River (Tokhtino ancient settlement, Usogorsk III--Vanvizdino culture) and in the Heybidya-Pedar sacrificial site at Bolshezemelskaya Tundra.
