Uspekhi Matematicheskikh Nauk

 

(Advances in Mathematical Sciences), a scientific journal published in Moscow by the Academy of Sciences of the USSR and the Moscow Mathematical Society. From 1936 to 1944 its format was that of a collection of articles; ten such collections were published. A new series was begun in 1946. Six issues of the journal are published each year. In addition to reviews on advances in mathematics, the journal contains announcements on matters of interest to its readers. Circulation, about 3,000 (1977).
