V2V

(1) (Vision to Venture) See SXSW.

(2) (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) Also called a "vehicular ad hoc network" (VANET), V2V enables cars and trucks to communicate with each other in order to disseminate traffic information. Vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) augments a V2V network by enabling vehicles to communicate with terrestrial base stations. See telematics and ITS.
