VEE tail

VEE tail

The V, or the butterfly, tail is an arrangement in which two surfaces forming a high dihedral perform the functions of conventional horizontal and vertical tail surfaces (i.e., elevator and rudders). This arrangement permits easier recovery from spins and is also more effective and lighter than the conventional arrangement. See butterfly tail.
