Vakarelski, Khristo Tomov

 

Born Dec. 15, 1896, in the village of Momina-Klisura, Pazardzhik District. Bulgarian ethnologist, specialist on Bulgarian ethnology.

Vakarelski developed the typology for a number of elements of Bulgarian material culture (agricultural implements, clothing, dwellings) and extensively applied the method of ethnologic cartography.
