Konovalenko, Viktor Sergeevich


Born Mar. 11, 1938, in Gorky. Soviet hockey player, Honored Master of Sport (1963), coach.

From 1961 to 1971, Konovalenko was the goalkeeper of the USSR national ice hockey team. His team was Olympic champion 1964 and 1968, champion of the world and Europe from 1963 to 1968 and in 1970, and world champion in 1971. Konovalenko has been awarded two orders.
