Virbalis

 

(formerly Verzbolovo), a city in Vilkaviskis Raion, Lithuanian SSR. Population, 1,500(1968). Located 2 km from the railroad station of Kibartai, on the KaunasKaliningrad line, Virbalis produces metal goods and has a creamery. The city was established in 1593.
