He says there are graves of our relatives in the cemetery of the church on vis. The church has been there since 1587.
Foreign tourists are not allowed to visit vis. Apply to the military authorities first.
The Commission proposes that their law-enforcement authorities be allowed consult the base indirectly by requesting information from another member state that is hooked up to VIS. There is a separate article setting out the conditions for The Hague-based Europol's access.

It has asked for Euro 5 million in 2004, Euro 11 million in 2005 and Euro 14 million in 2006 to help develop VIS.
The Commission would look after the information technology side of VIS while the Member States would set up the necessary national infrastructure.
It argues that an initial proposal on financing is necessary to allow the funds to be released while the EU institutions decide on the precise make-up and content of VIS.
However, the European Parliament's Citizens' Freedoms and Rights Committee - which is only being consulted on the financing - on April 6 unanimously rejected this approach, likening it to writing the Commission a blank cheque (see issue 2858).
