Vormsi

 

an island in the group of Moonsund Islands in the Baltic Sea, near the shores of the Estonian SSR. Separated from the island of Hiiumaa, located west of it, by the Muhu Strait, which is up to 12 km wide. Area, 93 sq km. Vormsi has a low-lying surface (altitude to 10 m). Its major industry is fishing, and its main populated center is Hullo.
