Vysha

 

an urban-type settlement in Zubovo-Poliansk Raion, southwestern Mordvinian ASSR. It has a railroad station on the Kustarevka-Vernadovka line. Vysha has a lumber industry.


Vysha

 

Noksa, a river in Riazan and Penza oblasts, RSFSR. It flows along the boundary of the Mordvinian ASSR and is a right tributary of the Tsna (in the Oka basin). The river is 179 km long and has a basin area of 4,570 km2. Fed by snow and rain, the Vysha freezes in November and thaws from the end of March to the beginning of April. Timber is floated on the river.
