WinInet
(WINdows INternET API) A Microsoft programming interface for Windows that provides access to the HTTP, FTP and Gopher protocols. It enables Windows programs to be written as clients to Web servers over the Internet or on an intranet. The server counterpart is ISAPI, which is specific to Microsoft's IIS Web server.
