Wallace, (Myron Leon) Mike

(1918–  ) broadcast journalist; born in Brookline, Mass. A University of Michigan graduate, he entered broadcasting on a Michigan radio station. Hardest-hitting of the adversary interviewers, he won fame with ABC's Mike Wallace Interview (1957–60), later becoming the mainstay for the long-running CBS TV news magazine, 60 Minutes (1968).
