(1) A shortcut to a website. See webloc.

(2) The World Wide Web is made up of more than a billion Web servers around the world, all connected via the Internet. An individual Web server is accessed by its physical IP address, which is numeric, or by its logical URL address, which is alphanumeric. See World Wide Web, IP address, URL and domain name.
