West Branch State Park

Location:19 miles east of Akron, in the northeast part of the state.
Facilities:198 campsites (14 without electricity), group camp, horseman's camp, picnic areas, picnic shelters, hiking trails (41 miles), bridle trails (20 miles), bike trails (7 miles), swimming beach, food concession, marina, boat ramps, boat rentals, fuel dock, game courts, playground.
Activities:Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, hunting, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, ice boating, ice fishing, nature programs.
Special Features:Park contains numerous bogs, created when kettle lakes formed by melting glacial blocks filled with sediment.
