Viborg (vēˈbôr), city (1992 pop. 29,867), capital of Viborg co., N central Denmark. It is a commercial and industrial center and a rail junction. Manufactures include tobacco, textiles, beer, and machinery. It is one of the oldest Danish cities and became an episcopal see in 1065.
