Xylometer

 

a device for measuring the volume of irregularly shaped objects (originally for wooden objects). The xylome-ter operates on the basis of measuring the volume of liquid displaced by an immersed body. The calculations are made along a vertically graduated transparent tube that communicates with the vessel.
