Yablonovy Range(yä`blənəvē), mountain chain, in Transbaykalia, SE Siberian Russia. Forming part of the watershed between the Arctic and Pacific oceans, it extends c.700 mi (1,130 km) from the Mongolian border in the southwest to the Olekma River in the northeast. It is crossed by the Trans-Siberian RR at ChitaChita
, city (1989 pop. 366,000), capital of Chita region, SE Siberian Russia, at the confluence of the Chita and Ingoda rivers and on the Trans-Siberian RR. Railroad and food-processing equipment are manufactured.
