Yanofsky, Charles

Yanofsky, Charles

(1925–  ) molecular biologist; born in New York City. After being with the biology department of Western Reserve University (1954–58), he moved to Stanford University, where he continued his research on genetics using E. Coli. His many honors include the Albert Lasker Award in Basic Medical Research (1971).
