Yellow Creek State Park


Location:Along 422, in the southwest corner of the state.
Facilities:Camping cottages, picnic areas, picnic pavilions, snack bar, hiking trails (5 miles), snowmobile trails (350 acres), swimming beach, bathhouse, boat rentals, boat launch, boat mooring, fishing pier (é), playground, sledding area, scenic overlook.
Activities:Camping, boating (20 HP limit), fishing, swimming, hiking, hunting, cross-country skiing, ice boating, ice fishing, ice skating, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, sledding, tobogganing, nature programs.
Special Features:Park is located along one of the first "highways" in the state, the Kittanning Path. This trail was used by the Delaware and Shawnee Indians and by early settlers.
