Zabelin, Ivan Egorovich

 

Born Sept. 17 (29), 1820, in Tver’ (now Kalinin); died Dec. 31, 1908 (Jan. 13, 1909), in Moscow. Russian historian and archaeologist. Corresponding member of the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences (1884), honorary member (1907). His father was a civil servant.
