Goriushkin, Zakharii Anikeevich


Born Sept. 5, 1748; died Sept. 24, 1821. Russian jurist. Self-educated. Professor at Moscow University (1786–1811).

Goriushkin’s major work was his Guide to Understanding the Russian Art of Law (four vols.; 1811–16). It was the first attempt in the history of Russian jurisprudence to summarize Russian legislation and its history.
