Zavodoukovsk

 

(prior to 1960, the settlement of Zavodoukovskii), a city, the center of the Zavodoukovsk Raion, Tiumen’ Oblast, RSFSR. It is located on the Bol’shoi Uk River (a tributary of the Tobol). It is a railroad station on the Sverdlovsk-Omsk line, 93 km southeast of Tiumen’. Population, 17,000 (1970). A timber mill, a farm-machinery factory, and a clothes factory are located in Zavodoukovsk.
