Astronomical Almanac this eclipse is classified as total.
Bosanquet sees the origin of the popular almanac in its common form as the combination of the traditional
astronomical almanac, the prognostication, and the calendar; the earliest recorded example is from 1539 (Bosanquet Aa.II; STC 392.3).

Naval Observatory's
Astronomical Almanac lists totality as lasting 12.3 minutes, while Fred Espenak's Fifty-Year Canon of Lunar Eclipses says 8.6 minutes.
