Birikchul’
urban-type settlement in Askiz Raion, Khakass Autonomous Oblast, Krasnoiarsk Krai, RSFSR, on the Askiz River (a tributary of the Abakan). It is a railroad station on the Askiz-Novokuznetsk line. Population, 8,000 (1968). There is a timber procurement establishment in Birikchul’.
