Location:17 miles south of Tahoe City on Highway 89.
Facilities:Campsites for family, group, and hike/bike camping (seasonal), picnic areas (é), hiking and nature trails, restrooms.

Special Features:Park includes one of Lake Tahoe's finest and most popular beaches. A self-guided trail leads to Balancing Rock, a large granite rock that has long been a natural attraction on Lake Tahoe's western shore. The granite of this large rock has weathered more rapidly at the joint plane, leaving a 130-ton overlying rock balanced on the rock below. From promontories such as Rubicon Point, visitors can see over one hundred feet into the depths of Lake Tahoe.
