Hartley oscillator

[′härt·lē ¦äs·ə‚lād·ər]
(electronics)
A vacuum-tube oscillator in which the parallel-tuned tank circuit is connected between grid and anode; the tank coil has an intermediate tap at cathode potential, so the grid-cathode portion of the coil provides the necessary feedback voltage.
