Hi-Fix

A Decca radio navigation system utilizing lightweight, portable stations, and used in either of two configurations; in the hyperbolic configuration, the relative phases of continuous-wave signals from the master and slave stations ashore, as measured at the receiver at the mobile station, provide hyperbolic lines of position; in the range configuration, the master station is located at the mobile receiver; phase comparison of continuous-wave signals from one shore station and the master provides range to the shore station.
