Location:5 miles southwest of Florence in Lauderdale County, Alabama.
Facilities:Undeveloped.
Activities:Hiking, hunting, wildlife observation.
Special Features:Refuge protects habitat for only known population of the Alabama cavefish.
Habitats: 1,060 acres of hardwood forests, croplands, and a 38-acre sinkhole lake.
Access: Open to public; entry into cave for research by permit only.
Wild life: Alabama cavefish and gray bat.
