MeeGo

An operating system from Intel and Nokia designed for smartphones, netbooks, TVs and in-vehicle entertainment systems that use ARM and Atom processors. Announced in early 2010, MeeGo merged Nokia's Linux-based Maemo operating system with the Linux-based Moblin OS and used Nokia's Qt development platform for writing applications.

In early 2011 Nokia announced it would use Microsoft's Windows Phone platform for its future smartphones. Later that year, Intel dropped MeeGo in favor of the open source Tizen mobile OS. See Tizen, Moblin, Maemo and Qt.
