Location:Off US 101, 11 miles south of Gold Beach.
Facilities:Beach access, restrooms, bridle trail, hiking trail, picnic areas.
Activities:Fishing, windsurfing, hiking, horseback riding, wildlife observation, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Park is situated in a unique dune and river area. During the spring and summer months, the dunes grow larger and the river sometimes changes course, creating pothole ponds that attract waterfowl and shorebirds. Site has prime conditions for ocean windsurfing; the national championships have been held here several times.
