Size: 310 acres.
Established: Proclaimed on May 11, 1961.
Location:8 miles west of Bridgeport, Alabama. From US 72, take CR 75 north 1 mile to CR 98, then CR 98 north 4 miles.
Facilities:Picnic area, rest rooms (é), visitor center (é), museum/exhibit, self-guided tour/trail.
Activities:Guided cave tours, hiking, craft demonstrations.
Special Features:An almost continuous archeological record of human habitation from at least 6500 BC to about AD 1650 (Transitional Paleo to Mississippian cultural periods) is revealed in this cave.
